Cerebrovascular disease has a high incidence both in our country and worldwide, leading to elevated rates of morbidity and mortality, as well as varying degrees of disability.
Regardless of the type of stroke, EARLY INITIATION OF REHABILITATION IS KEY TO REDUCING LONG-TERM SEQUELAE.
Our Approach to Stroke Rehabilitation
We admit patients in the subacute phase of stroke recovery, including those who are still on mechanical ventilation, if required.
An interdisciplinary team—including internal medicine physicians, physiatrists, neurologists, motor and respiratory physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists—designs a personalized treatment plan targeting each patient’s specific disabilities.
At the same time, nutritionists tailor dietary plans to meet individual needs.
Our in-house neurologist monitors patients regularly, though we also allow follow-up by their primary neurologist or referring specialist if applicable.
Our specialized rehabilitation nurses provide 24-hour care.
