The Research Ethics Committee (REC) is the body responsible for evaluating, advising on, and overseeing the research projects conducted within the institution, ensuring compliance with the ethical and methodological principles established for health research. The REC’s role is to safeguard the rights, safety, and well-being of research participants while promoting the responsible development of scientific knowledge.
Interdisciplinary Composition
The Committee is composed of professionals from different fields within healthcare, social sciences, and bioethics, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of research projects.
Accreditation
Our Research Ethics Committee holds official accreditation granted by the Central Research Ethics Committee of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires.
This recognition represents an important institutional milestone, as Santa Catalina is the first monovalent rehabilitation center to obtain this accreditation.
The accreditation reaffirms the institution’s commitment to the highest ethical and scientific standards in research.

Researchers interested in submitting projects for evaluation by the Research Ethics Committee must send the corresponding documentation to the Teaching & Research Department for review.
