Our History

In 1987, we began our journey with the opening of our first facility on Venezuela Street. Over time, we expanded our presence with the launch of our México facility, and in 2015, the construction of our Catamarca facility marked a major milestone, allowing us to enhance service quality and accelerate our expansion. 

From 2019 onwards, our growth became exponential, incorporating key facilities into our network: Amenábar (2019), Remeo (2021), ULME (2022), Basilea (2023), Azurduy (2024), and Parque I, II & III (2024). Today, with 11 locations, we have established ourselves as pioneers in comprehensive rehabilitation and high-dependency clinical care for individuals with disabilities.

We have over 750 inpatient beds, offering rehabilitation services for adult, pediatric, and ICU patients. Our integrated model includes 24-hour imaging and laboratory services, surgical procedures, and other essential support areas for high-complexity care.

We deliver personalized rehabilitation through a highly trained interdisciplinary team. Each patient undergoes a comprehensive evaluation by a physiatrist, who develops a tailored treatment plan based on individual needs. In addition, clinical follow-up physicians monitor each patient’s progress and support both patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process.

Over the years, our experience has allowed us to specialize in the treatment of orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical conditions, as well as in the care of patients requiring mechanical ventilation (MV). We also provide specialized care for subacute patients, individuals with severe obesity, and those with chronic disorders of consciousness. Our infrastructure includes an in-house laboratory, imaging center, and procedure room, minimizing the need for transfers and ensuring comprehensive, uninterrupted care.

In 2017, we launched the Santa Catalina Institute of Health Sciences Education, introducing the Advanced Technical Degree in Nursing, training the country’s first nurses specialized in neurorehabilitation and chronic critical care.

Thanks to our academic and research advancements, we became an official site for the Specialization Program in Neurological Kinesiology and Physical Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), as well as a clinical residency site. After initial student rotations in 2015, we grew steadily, and in 2019, Santa Catalina was officially recognized as a “UBA-affiliated institution.”

By January 2021, we began developing our own residency program, which was approved in October of that year, and the specialization program launched in 2022, solidifying our role as leaders in neurorehabilitation education.
